I got my pure breed Quarter horse in march. He lost his baby hair 1 m after that. How old is he??

I got my colt in March. He still had baby hair, white. He is palomino now. How old would he be? how old do they lose baby hair? in the winter round that time?

They will lose their baby hair in the spring after their first winter. All you can really tell from this is that he is about a year old, but he may have been born in March or in July, or anywhere in between. (or before, or after). He is a yearling. Sorry I can not tell you his birthday. Did you not get registration papers with him? How do you know he is pure bred? His birthdate will be on his registration papers.

If he is registered his papers would state his dob.

if he is purebred the papers would say his age...

a vet can tell by looking at his teeth...

I would assume he is a yearling becuase he probably wouldnt have been weaned in march already if born this year....

Horses usually lose thier "baby hair" during the first spring shedding, so your horse could really be anywhere from a year old down to four or five months old. It's impossible to tell. Checking his teeth would give you a better estimate.
