how do i know if its dandruff or lice, im very clean it cant be lice right?

Lice can be white or black. It does look kind of like dander but if you grab it between your fingers and try to remove it .. it will be stuck.

I just recently had a client with lice and finally saw if for the first time. I was surprised at how small it was. We ended up having to treat most of our kids. It also has nothing to do with whether your clean or not. It just means you used something that someone infected also used on their hair. It could have been a cap, comb or even laying on the same part of the couch.

If it's lice get a treatment. You will need someone to do it for you. It's hard to do to yourself. You might have to do it more than once. Also wash all your sheets and treat anything you lay your head on. There are sprays you can buy at the pharmacy. Don't buy the generic. Doesn't work as well. Buy RID.

It can definitely be lice. All it takes is contact with someone who has them.

Are the dots little things stuck to the hair shaft? Those are the eggs (nits).

actully lice like cleaner hair.Comman symptoms are constant icthing, and sores from scrathing

the best thing to do is read each one and see with you think you have.Or call a doc and tell them your symptoms and see what they say

Have someone look at your scalp. If you have lice you could possibly see bugs. If they have laid eggs, you will see little dots attached to your roots that you can only get out with a special comb or dragging with the tips of your fingernails. Only way is to have someone else look, you cant see good enough. Embarassing yes but you have to. It has nothing to do with being dirty. Lice is in the grass. You could have set next to someone with it. Say you went out to eat. The person sitting behind you could have had it. Gross yes, your fault, no.

If dandruff, use head and shoulders for a few days, NO LONGER. If its dandruff your head should feel much better.

because dandruff usually clumps together a lot

Use Head and Shoulders or any other dandruff shampoo such as Neutrogena T-gel, etc...

If worried about lice, buy just the lice brush, or kit, lay out white smooth rag (white tshirt will work), and comb from bottom of head to top onto the white rag. If you have anything, you will find it on the rag.

If the infestation is so bad that you can see it in your hair then you would know for sure if it was lice.

You probably just have dry scalp due to the weather, try a shampoo and conditioner that is conditioning and cleansing, like abba's moisture scentsation.

It sounds like nits (lice eggs) and tehy do prefer clean hair.
