i was just combing my hair and a phew white strands of hair came out on my comb.

What the hell is going on and is there a way i can stop this?!

if its white hair then it happens, i hear that stress as well as anger cause you to have white hairs but if the problem continues then u should probably see the doctor.

No you can't. I got my first 5 gray hairs in the 4th grade and my mom plucked them out. After that they just doubled and doubled, so my advice is to leave them alone. Besides when you turn twenty it helps you score with older chicks, take my word for it.

i personally wouldn't worry about it.

because unless you have a disease it's not going to fall out or all go gray.

if you're light colored, hair wise, it could be your hair just changing colors naturally and you start to obtain natural highlights.

Its a vitamin, or actually mineral deficiency of copper. I'd start taking a supplement or multivitamin (preferably liquid) if I were you.

I was born with gray hair!!! My mother was born with gray hair and her mother was born with it also. My sister was not born with gray hair but she does have some now. Everyone used to tell me that by the time I was 16 I would be completely white headed. Not so. I am 28 year old and i just recently started putting a rinse on my hair just to see what I would look like with another color hair. I am used to my gray hair and i love it. It is a conversation piece. People have tried to actually dye their hair after seeing and knowing me. But GOD is my hairdresser. You can dye it but it is best to get it dyed professionally because otherwise it may turn green like my hair did when I was in college. I used some Miss Clariol and my hair turned green afterward, now that was hilarious. It is nothing to be ashamed of, but I can understand at 13 you may feel ackward about it. I didn't feel awkward about it but when I met myself in life, I had gray hair and it may take some getting used to with you just now getting it or just now seeing it rather because most like it was already there.

Don't fret,, talk to your parents about your concern and see if they are okay with you dying it.

my solution: hair dye.

though since you only have a few i don't think its necessary now, maybe a few years down the track.

i think i started greying at about the same age and there isn't a proven way of stopping it (it is supposedly hereditary so blame your parents!).

you can find varoius sites on the net that claim they have shampoos and other strange formula which prevent hair from going white but if they really worked why are there still people walking down the street with white hair?
