My ferret started out a chocolate colored sable but now she has white hair growing in her undercoat.

my ferret started out dark w/ white tips.. she had a white stripe down her head.. now she's almost completley white!! Thats the girl... The boy i have has been the EXACT same color since day one.. i think it's normal, but you can mention it to the vet if you want. Just make sure if your ferret ever has hair loss, to get him/her to the vets asap. It could be a sign of adenal disease!

I had a rabbit, and it did that exact same thing. I don't think ferrets fur changes with the season. I think it is some sort of extra coat for the winter because there body knows the cold is coming. That's what happens to a lot of animals during this time of year. Hope I helped!

I'm not exactly sure about farrets but I do know that the older an animal gets the more white hairs that appear.
