PLEASE HELP!! Every time I get my hair done its yellow/orange!!?

I used to bleach my whole head all the time and it always pulled that yellow/orange color. I stopped to keep my hair in better health so NOW I just get highlights... and every time I get bleached highlights my hair still pulls a yellow/orange color, or if it does work the highlights fade within a couple weeks (even though people say thats impossible because its bleach ..well it really does) it just disappears in my hair like I never got anything done ...my hair stylists was shocked. and I have been to so many hair stylists and am devastated and disappointed every time. I want the achieve the very blond almost white blond hair color. I have spent so much money on my hair and it all goes down the drain from dissatisfaction. Please help! Any suggestions on what I can get done or need to do? ...and thank you so much!! xoxo

As for the brassy color, you need to get a blue toner to get that white color. However, I don't know what to tell you about the fading. Have you tried using shampoo that helps keep your color longer?

go to sallys beauty and get this stuff by clairol called "shimmer lights". its a purple shampoo or conditioner whichever u choose and u wash it with that like every other time you wash your hair it and takes the yellow orange out and just a pretty blonde and revives faded hair

if you're hair is naturally dark brown or black you may never acheive the white blonde hair you want. good luck.

the more you bleach your hair the whiter it will become

until it gets way too white

you just have to keep doing it often

it pulls yellow orange because your hair is too dark and the bleach is not left on your hair long enough

if your hair is too fragile it could break it off

so you have to find a shade you can life with

just keep working it.. you'll get there

Pulling yellow/orange is not uncommon. Its the stages hair has to go through to get to the desired color and sometimes hair that is stubborn will stop processing in that yellow/organge stage. There are a few things you can do like using a stronger developer and possibly leaving it on longer under the dryer with a cap. This would be at the watchful eye of a professional in order to keep the integrity of your hair in mind while processing and knowing exactly when you have either reached the desired level or enough is enough for your hair. In the end it is recommended to use a glaze to close the cuticle of your hair and seal in any color deposited or used so that it will last longer.
