Many times people who are in that condition suffer from a serious mental illness. I have helped more then one person in that situation. I bought one guy a hotel room so he could take a shower and gave him my number if he wanted to go to church with me and get help he needed. I really don't care if it is a man, woman, pink, blue, green, old or young, many of those people need our help. There are lots of ways to help them without giving them direct money as many will spend the money on alcohol. I think it is a very hardened and sad society that we live in when people can walk by someone who is obviously in need of help and do nothing, or even go as far as to taunt then or spit on them.
