Do corn rows damage hair?

I have had my hair braided for years everyone I know has their hair braided. All I see is thick full heads of hair. Where is all this damage I keep hearing people talk about? Also dont say it damages "white folks hair" as it does not Norse men wore corn rows in and out of battle as well as many europeans it is a regal headress. If you can prove it does damage I will bow down.

The strengthening comes from the length of time your hair is left alone to grow and become healthy, the weakening is cause by the pulling and tightness. Its takes a stronger, more course grade of hair to withstand this treatment from braids.

It can damage a white persons hair if kept in for too long. The texture of their hair is more fragile and is prone to breaking and splitting. Hair that is more course can stand up to the pressure of being braided into cornrows.

To my Knowledge, corn rows are not damaging to hair. In fact, I find that corn rows are good for my hair. Wearing your hair in its natural state helps your hair to grow healthy and strong, unlike chemicals and weave that people put in thier hair.
