I'm wondering if it possible to dye my hair white. I know, thats pretty weird, but I'm kinda intrested in doing it. plezz answers that help, not ones saying you'll type l8ter. ok bye yahoo faithfuls!

Bleaching works the best!

Either go to a salon, or go to a beauty supply place, they sell kits there for bleaching your hair.

I'm sure the instructions will mention it, but wear gloves and don't get the stuff on anything, it would help if you had someone there to help you. Also, getting a dying brush helps put the stuff on instead of just using your hands.

Make sure to wear a rag/towel around your neck and old clothes.

And wash everything after you're done. Follow the complete instructions.

Bleaching also itches a ton while in the process and it will dry out your hair so you'll have to get some heavy duty conditioner. (My sister bleaches her hair, but it's soft because she uses the right stuff)

There are "gray" dyes available at the drug store in all the other hair dyes... but the best way is to visit a salon and have them strip all color from your hair.. then you can follow with a white dye. Basically, it will take you ALOT of bleach to get it pale enough to go "almost white"

Also.. the FDA outlawed true silver hairdye in the US, but it is available from the UK.

A pale ash blond may be the color you are looking for! I have had my hair this color and I like it because it is really light without making you feel washed out! If you have a pretty naural color it is a shame to change it- a flax blond is a good color as well!
