Chemically stripping hair of colour!!?

When you strip your hair of dyed colour, does it make your hair white?

Chemically stripping hair of colour!!?

No, it's a process done at the hair salon to remove a colour you don't like. I had it done years ago and then had a dark dye put on.

From what I recall, the stripping was quite uncomfortable though; avoid it if you can!

Chemically stripping hair of colour!!?

It doesn't make your hair white. What it does is it strips all the color out of your hair to a certian extent. What I just did to my hair the other day, and I'm a hairdresser, I used a product called RUSK Elimin8. It works great and it keeps your hair soft and it doesn't fry your hair off. After you strip it you have to tone it with the color you want. Please consult with your stylist before you or they do anything.

If you have any questions, feel free to ask.

Chemically stripping hair of colour!!?

if you leave it on to long it will turn white. its normally supposed to be kindof a yellow color

Chemically stripping hair of colour!!?

if you are going to strip your hair i would use a bleach bath a combination on bleach peroxide and shampoo, depending on if your hair is really dark apply it and keep checking it until it had come to the shade you want. if your hair is fairly light be carefull as it can damage your hair. it may not send your hair white but dont leave it on for to long, if i was you i would seek proffesional advice.

Chemically stripping hair of colour!!?

no it doesn't make ur hair white

Chemically stripping hair of colour!!?

I had mine done a few months ago, I'd had dyed black hair for years but wanted to go back to my natural blonde. I had it done at the hairdressers and my hair went a gingery blonde and then I had blonde highlights put in. It worked pretty well:)

Why do young people have white hairs? can this problem be solved?

The color of hair is determined largely by the amount and distribution of a brown-black pigment called melanin." Melanin is a biological pigment that is found in hair, skin, and eyes. The greater the amount of the pigment, the darker the hair will be. As the amount of melanin lessens, the hair color varies from black to brown or rust or blond. If hair contains no melanin at all, it looks shiny white.

Graying does not mean that the hair dies. In fact, the visible portion of all hair is already dead. Each hair extends below the skin surface. This end is called the bulb and is the only living part. The bulb functions as the hair factory. When hair is formed by a rapid division of cells in the bulb, it absorbs melanin, which is produced by pigment cells. For that reason, if the pigment cells stop producing melanin, the hair will be white.

Quite honestly, there is no medicine in the world, when taken internally can stop greying hair or turning them to black. If so one can be the richest man on the earth immediadly.however If the cause is known and they are greying prematuraly that can be slowed down but cannot be stopped.I would appreciate the others to comment and inform about their success.

Why do young people have white hairs? can this problem be solved?

Genetics. You can always dye your hair.

Why do young people have white hairs? can this problem be solved?

it could be genetic cause.

Why do young people have white hairs? can this problem be solved?

no worries, a lot of young kids I know have white hair. Just dye it or make it into your style =)

Why do young people have white hairs? can this problem be solved?

It's in the genes, so it is hereditary.

Why do young people have white hairs? can this problem be solved?

Some of it is genetic but I have also heard from a doctor that if a person is lacking folic acid in their diet it may cause them to go prematurely grey.

Why do young people have white hairs? can this problem be solved?

there are different things that will cause hair to turn white!

But never fear there is a cure, loving care,Loreal, nice n easy.those are just a few of the different brands of hair color.Take care not to buy any hair color that is in the "ash group" like golden ash brown etc. These tend to turn your hair a redish orange color especially if exposed to the sunlight. If you just want to experiment there are hair colors that will wash out after 1 or 2 shampoos.Learn the difference from hair color and hair dye, hair color has no peroxide and washes out in a couple of weeks.Hair dye contains peroxide and is a permanent treatment( but you have to keep dying the hair as it grows!

Why do young people have white hairs? can this problem be solved?

1.USE OIL ON YOUR HAIR

2.DYE UR HAIR

3.USE A GOOD DYE ON YOUR HAIR

4.USE A CONDITIONER

5.STOP THE USAGE OF HAIR DRYERS

6.MASSAGE THE SCALP REGULARLY

7.SHAMPOO UR HAIR REGULARLY

8.TAKE HEAD BATH EVERYDAY USING OIL

Why do white people have more hair than black people?

I usually see black people with less hair than white people, why?

Why do white people have more hair than black people?

Why'd you ask this twice?

ANd it looks like you got more stupid answers.

lol at everyone's answers. I don't think it was the answer you were expecting. To me, it has nothing to do with the shape of one's cuticle!! Lots of black people- who have straight(relaxed) or curly(natural) hair have LONGGG hair. I also hope you were not trying to offend anyone. Why did you choose white ppl to compare with black? WHy not hispanic, asian, middle eastern?

Hmm, where to start?

Okay, well all black people are born with VERY curly hair. I'm not talking about the curly on some white people. these curls are spiral curls and are what enable black people to have afros. Like with Corbin Bleu: http://www.tottvwatch.com/wp-content/upl... but his curls are a little looser probably because he is biracial. I'm am positive that if you took a strand and pulled it out, it would reach his chest.

You probably noticed if black person has curly hair, it is long and if they have straight hair it is short. If a black person has straight hair it is because they RELAXED it. A relaxer is the opposite of a perm. (you don't have to be black, lots of ppl do it) It is just as damaging (well even MORE) than dying your hair. The hair will break off, become stiff and basically look horrible. A lot of black people dont know how to take care of their RELAXED OR NATURAL hair (black people relax natural hair because it is REALLY hard to care for- it tangles and breaks very easily) so they end up with short hair. This is just a fact so no one should be offended!! Anyways, u may have seen a black person with long hair and automatically went "oh, that's just a weave" but that is just a STEREOTYPE. I know LOTS with long hair

Why do white people have more hair than black people?

maybe because there hair is so brittle it breaks off all the time.

Why do white people have more hair than black people?

i think youve got it twisted. blacks have more hair than the average white. its fuller n thicker too

Why do white people have more hair than black people?

more hair as in longer hair? african americans sometime have really thick (more!) hair, making it harder to deal with. so they might opt to cutting it shorter. or they might be able to braid it or get dreads

Why do white people have more hair than black people?

Nice try: circular reasoning.

Why do white people have more hair than black people?

I don't know about more hair, but its certainly less Knappy.

Why do white people have more hair than black people?

i don't no what to think about this question am black and have a lot of hair lol

Why do white people have more hair than black people?

white people have the most piece of **** hair, it may be easy to manage but they still look like **** with it. and black people have thicker hair, they have more hair than a white person can ever have. it just takes longer for black people hair to grow. and white people have greasy, nappy, ugly and splited hair.

Why do white people have more hair than black people?

Because our ancestors lived in a colder climate to black people and so evolution gave us more hair to keep warm, and black people less hair to keep cool. Plus take into account the texture.

Do ferrets hair change color with the season?

My ferret started out a chocolate colored sable but now she has white hair growing in her undercoat.

Do ferrets hair change color with the season?

my ferret started out dark w/ white tips.. she had a white stripe down her head.. now she's almost completley white!! Thats the girl... The boy i have has been the EXACT same color since day one.. i think it's normal, but you can mention it to the vet if you want. Just make sure if your ferret ever has hair loss, to get him/her to the vets asap. It could be a sign of adenal disease!

Do ferrets hair change color with the season?

I had a rabbit, and it did that exact same thing. I don't think ferrets fur changes with the season. I think it is some sort of extra coat for the winter because there body knows the cold is coming. That's what happens to a lot of animals during this time of year. Hope I helped!

Do ferrets hair change color with the season?

in the wild yes but after generations in captivity it is uncommon but it can still happen

Do ferrets hair change color with the season?

I'm not exactly sure about farrets but I do know that the older an animal gets the more white hairs that appear.

White hair, can be coloured either by a hairdresser or by buying the product solution from a supermarket that sells hair dyes and applying yourself.

This is the only solution for natural hair.

Well, you have three choices, you can either dye it to your original hair colour, pull them out with tweezers (if you dont have too many) or you can just leave it.

How do i get rid of my WHITE HAIRS?

see grey(ie white) hair is due to lack of pigmentation which makes ur hair look white. it does not mean tat ur hair is dead or the hair follicle along with the root is dead. ur hair has just lost its pigment. so there is no reason to remove them. thou if u want to cover ur grey hair then use a quality hair colour and take good care of ur hair as hair colour tend to make them dry and brittle. you can also try henna as it is natural and wil protect ur hair. along with tat try to massage ur scalp with warm oil so the blood circulation to ur head increases. go to good trichologist(hair expert) who wil giv u a good diagnosis as to y ur hair is becoming grey and giv u the right medications etc...

Someone inform or discuss why so many teenage girls I've seen have destroyed their hair, skin a

I have been to many events latly, and have seen for myself the damage of what a fashion trend has done to innocent teenage girls. Besides the tan and pink skin, these girls have bleahced their hair white-blonde, wear very revealing outfits and take no consideration for how they represent or characterize themselves or the actual example they're setting for younger girls, their parents or the public. I can understand the need of peer pressure to be "different" and have heard the phrase "express yourself" but I see no "difference" in how most of these girls all look the same, or how expressing yourself leads to literally expressing your whole body, revealing curves and other inapropriate selections that can land a false image on them that I'm sure they don't realize they have. I am not disputing them, but can someone inform me why girls find the need, desire or even surge to do these things to themselves. After a while, I would think they would see how much a flase image they've set.

Someone inform or discuss why so many teenage girls I've seen have destroyed their hair, skin and image?

I think girls do this because they want more attention from the opposite sex, or maybe even to fit in with the other girls they want to be like. I myself enjoy shopping for fashionable things but, I make sure they aren't too racy for school or work. I have plenty of friends who love and care for me and I didn't dress like a bimbo to get them. Even though the boys aren't drooling all over me, at least I know when one does, it won't be for my breasts, or something ridiculous like that.

Your question makes a lot of sense. There are other ways to get attention than putting your dignity and pride at risk. So any girls who are looking at this, you don't have to put your body on display just to get attention!! Be funny, be charasmatic! Join a club! Having boys want you is definately not as important as some of you may think it is

Someone inform or discuss why so many teenage girls I've seen have destroyed their hair, skin and image?

y u so jelous just coz ur hair isnt blonde and u dont waer those outfits???

look just coz those girls get attention dont mind

everyone to their own ay.

Oh Help...Major Hair Disaster?

Okay..i went to the hair dressers yesterday seen as my roots were very very bad. The women there said she could tint my hair blonde to being the natural blondeness out. (bareing in mind im already quite blonde) i asked her 3-4 times NOT to make my hair white blonde but to make it slightly more blonder then it was

she first tinted my roots and then the rest of my hair. After shes finished i want to cry.

my hair was WHITE blonde with strawberry blonde/ginger roots. Many people say its not that bad but looking in the mirror i went to burst into tears everytime. The hairdresser said she would sort it in 3 days time but i have to go shopping ect %26amp;%26amp; see my friends yet with hair like this i think i was die.

Does anyone have any ideas how to reduce the gingerness and what the hairdresser can do to my hair?!

Oh Help...Major Hair Disaster?

hey i'm a hairdresser..

1) find a new hairdresser and get several opinions.

2) depending on if it was tint or bleached used depends on what can be done, if u bleach hair and u want it go darker, u have to usually put specific hair tones bk in the hair .i.e. if have brown hair ud need red tones put bk in, blonde hair - gold tones and then hair dyed again.

3)also...with lovely orangeness, usually an ash toner will need to put on the hair (ash has purple tones to it and purple neutrilises the orange)

4) Matrix do a shampoo called so silver - the shampoo is a voilet/purple coloured shampoo and it adds ash tones into the hair to help neutrilise gingerness (was a life saver for me cos i had colour correction - dark hair brought bk up to blonde and i went ginger lol and it really did work). in general the shampoo helps enhance blonde hair and grey hair but its good 4 stopping the brassiness.

just please dont try and do nething @ home with dodgy home kits as they dont always contain the right level of peroxide and also, home kits used on hair tht has had professional colours on it, can react and fazzle the hair - a wonderful thing called metalic salts.

hope this helps and good luck and dont 4get, if ur not happy tell the sylist, shop around and get several opinions!!

Oh Help...Major Hair Disaster?

First of all, I wouldnt go back to her, as she clearly doesnt care what you really want and only what she wants to do. Find someone better, they should be able to fix your hair. I wouldnt try anything like home dye or anything yourself, because if its thats light already youll probably just damage your hair, and it might even fall out.

Oh Help...Major Hair Disaster?

If I were you, I'd go find someone else. That hairdresser oviously doesn't care if you look bad or not. Maybe find a picture from the internet and print it out and show it to the new hairdresser.

Oh Help...Major Hair Disaster?

ok first of all your hairdresser either wasnt fully qualified or else she just didnt know what she was doing. if you already have blonde hair and want it a little brighter she should've put the colour on the roots first and left it for about 20 mins and then check to see how much it had lifted. when the roots are almost to the colour you wanted only then should she put the colour on the ends of your hair for a few mins max because your ends were already blonde and it doesnt take long to lift blonde hair to a brighter shade. i wouldnt go back to that hairdresser and would look for a new hairdresser. when you find a new hairdresser if they suggest decolouring your hair or sometimes its called a bleach bath do not go with this idea as it can ruin your hair and is not very effective for blonde hair. your hair needs to be toned. also explain the story fully to your new hairdresser. you need to make sure that the next hairdresser does it properly because if its wrong again and need it to be fixed again your hair will become overprocessed. for a temporary fix until you can find a good hairdresser you could buy one of those semi permanent home colours to tone down your hair. try to find one that conditions the hair and will not damage your hair

Is 40 Volume Peroxide Enough To Get Platinum Blonde Hair?

Ahhh I've Been Wanting Really Blonde/Platinum Blonde Almost white Hair For A While .. And Ive Just Got Some 40 Volume Peroxide, Is It Enought to Get It The Color I Want? Or Do I Have To Go And Get Some 20 Volume? =S.

Xx.

Is 40 Volume Peroxide Enough To Get Platinum Blonde Hair?

Is 30 vol...

Is 40 Volume Peroxide Enough To Get Platinum Blonde Hair?

oh goodness, that sounds like it would be terrible for your hair. why don't you try hair dye instead...

Is 40 Volume Peroxide Enough To Get Platinum Blonde Hair?

yup!my friend does it all the time and she's as platinum as they come!!! she said it kinda stings her head tho when its been put in

Is 40 Volume Peroxide Enough To Get Platinum Blonde Hair?

40 volume is very strong, much more so than 20- just please be careful! When I was in beauty school, my mannequin lost globs of hair after I "platinumed" her with bleach and 40 volume. I don't know how strong your hair is, what color, so I cannot give a lot of advice. Only be careful; the longer you leave it on the more damage it does, and sometimes it still doesn't get white. Good luck....

Is 40 Volume Peroxide Enough To Get Platinum Blonde Hair?

Well...that would depend on your natural level of hair color. If you hair has been previously colored you will definatly need to color your hair in stages because there are many levels of color that hair needs to get through in order to achieve blonde. 40 volume will lift but beware...if your hair is dark it will turn orange. I would suggest going to a lighter brown beofre attempting a blonde.

Is 40 Volume Peroxide Enough To Get Platinum Blonde Hair?

I wouldn't advise trying it yourself - Go to the hairdresser.

It is impossible to say not knowing your natural hair colour.

Peroxide is very nasty stuff and 40% sounds dangerous.

There may be a possibility of having a catastrophe - hair may go orange, green or just break off.

Is 40 Volume Peroxide Enough To Get Platinum Blonde Hair?

Why would you get 20 volume? Adding 20 volume to 40 volume doesn't make 60 volume, it just cuts the strength of the 40 volume. I really hope that you knew that, or you definitely shouldn't be doing your own hair. And regarding whether 40 volume is strong enough? There's really no way to know without knowing the porosity and density and texture and color of your hair, but you're not going to get anything stronger than 40 volume, you're just going to have to do it twice. I'm actually very worried for you, I think you're either going to end up with broken hair or yellow hair. This should really be left to a pro.

Is 40 Volume Peroxide Enough To Get Platinum Blonde Hair?

Oh my goodness! Be very careful with your hair. One of my very good friends does that and I have to say her hair isn't very good hair. I guess that's how you could put it. Anyway just be careful. That's all I have to say.

Is 40 Volume Peroxide Enough To Get Platinum Blonde Hair?

I really strongly suggest that you do not attempt this at home. 40 vol is like rocket fuel. Bleaching properly is much more difficult than most people think. Although this sounds fun, platinum hair is high maintenance and look awful when it is not kept up with. Best of luck.

Is 40 Volume Peroxide Enough To Get Platinum Blonde Hair?

You need 40 vol mixed with bleach to lighten and then a toner afterwards to get the platinum effect bt seriously it is better to invest in a trip to a hair salon and get this done PROFESSSIONALLY!Otherwise it may go YELLO or uneven.Trust me I know what I am talking about! The worst case scenario is your hair becomes over processeed and falls out-so if you want a radical change to your colour particularly depending on how dark you are now get advice first.

Is 40 Volume Peroxide Enough To Get Platinum Blonde Hair?

I suggest that you use a 30 volume with bleaching powder as well. The peroxide isnt enough to do it on its own. I do my hair and it is really beautiful. I have dark brown hair so a 40 works for me. If you have dark hair, then use a 40. You can do it at home, but you should have a friend assist you, someone you trust mind you. You must wash your hair with Shimmer Lights shampoo to make your hair white. The more times you wash it with this shampoo the whiter it gets. If you want it more platinum, you add a platinum dye that you can by at Sally Hansens or wherever you bought your other hair products. Most girls are scared to use bleach at home because it does damage your hair if it is not used correctly. And most women have to worry about their long hair that they cannot just cut off and start all over with. As a male you have the advantage that your hair is short and it grows out and you could just cut it off if you dont like it. But the Shimmer Lights will give you that platinum, white shine you want.

Is 40 Volume Peroxide Enough To Get Platinum Blonde Hair?

What color r u using? If its bleach u can get 6-7 levels of lift.Dont put it on your scalp til last...the warmth of your head will make it process faster and it'll be lighter. Why dont you take a small section and test it out?

Is 40 Volume Peroxide Enough To Get Platinum Blonde Hair?

If your hair is naturally dark, then you will be unlikely to get a platinum blonde colour in one go. If you attempt to colour it from a base shade of medium dark brown or darker, you will only achieve an orangey colour as all it will do is expose your underlying pigment.

If you are dark blonde then it is possible but use a powder lightener rather than peroxide.......Use a goldwell product called Oxycur Platin Ultra....This contains ABSOLUTELY no peroxide, It can be used on or off scalp......and gives maximumlift from your base level.

You need to give more information when you ask your Q's hun, there are so many determining factors, i.e. previous colour treatments, condition of hair, porosity, texture, any grey...............

Its not as simple as slapping on a product and hoping for the result you want....Sorry.

Is 40 Volume Peroxide Enough To Get Platinum Blonde Hair?

it all depends on

1, if you have colour on your hair already - as this will affect the outcome

2, if you have re-growth if u already have colour

3, if your hair is virgin hair, what base is it

you need to provide more information.

If you had very dark hair that had been dyed then i do not recommened doing it yourself

If your hair is very light anyway then u should only be using 20 vol

I suggest u go to the hairdressers

Is 40 Volume Peroxide Enough To Get Platinum Blonde Hair?

Depends what colour your hair is now honey but dont use 40vol for full head application!!!!!!!!!! You'll burn your head!!!! 40vol should be used with foils and meches for partial lightening!

Is 40 Volume Peroxide Enough To Get Platinum Blonde Hair?

My natural color is quite dark and I have had platinum blonde hair for over 30 years. What my hairdresser uses is a poduct called 'Blonde Dimension' which is a powder bleach and uses a 40 volume ProOxide which is kinder to your hair. It comes out perfect every time. I have it done every 3 weeks like clockwork. Hope this helps.

Im looking for manic panic virgin snow hair dye.?

I want my hair white but i dont want to order it online. what stores can i get it at? (i cant find it at hot topic)

Im looking for manic panic virgin snow hair dye.?

Unfortunately Virgin Snow is so much of a specialty item that its only avaliable online. If you do manage to find it tho please share :).

Try asking your local beauty supply store if they will special order it in for you. Worth a shot. I know Sally's sells their dyes so they might order it for you if you request it.

Black girls do people of other races touch your hair and the make rude comment and say would want ha

meaning wouldnt i want white peoples hair also they think like why is your hair greasy or why do u but grease in your hair or does your hair move it makes me laugh and when it moves they are so amazed.

Black girls do people of other races touch your hair and the make rude comment and say would want hair like me

tell it like it is lady gemini. people say where did you buy it or wasnt brandi wearing that? and a correction. you do need grease in your hair. lady above said youre not supposed to touch your hair and grease come off. what are they touching your hair 4 anyway? sometimes people dont understand that if you have thick hair you need something more in your hair besides air in a bottle. i'm mixed so i dont have straight black hair but its still thick. b proud of your hair and dont let idiotic people tell you otherwise

Black girls do people of other races touch your hair and the make rude comment and say would want hair like me

other people are not supposed to be able to see or feel the grease. the grease is not supposed to come off your hair when a piece of paper is touched to the hair.

it is supposed to be soft not greasy feeling.

Black girls do people of other races touch your hair and the make rude comment and say would want hair like me

Never rude remarks. I always hear is that your hair or did you buy it.

I have shoulder blade length hair and I wear it in spiral curls during the week.

People are amazed that it is my hair and not store bought.

Are these real or synthetic hair extensions?

Ok... I am wondering if I got ripped off here...

I bought some clip in hair extensions and was told I could curl/straighten them... even die them. I curled them (both with hot rollers and a curling iron) and some of the ends burnt! Like I took a flame to the ends or something. Then, I washed them shampoo

and conditioner and they smell soooo gross, like mothballs. AND some of the hairs turned WHITE. Human hair? I think not but if so, what the heck did I do wrong?

Are these real or synthetic hair extensions?

That is real hair that you have. Synthetic hair does not get burnt at the ends. What you have is poor quality human hair and it sounds like you applied too much heat to it. Too much heat is not good for real hair. Now if the end are melted as if it were plastic , then I would say yeah, the hair is fake...But from what you have stated, it sounds like the hair is real. Either you applied too much heat and damaged it or it is not of good quality

Are these real or synthetic hair extensions?

No, those are not real hair. Real hair extensions should act just like yours. Return them immediately.

Are these real or synthetic hair extensions?

sounds like synthetic hair to me

Are these real or synthetic hair extensions?

You definitely got ripped off...i'm sorry to put it so bluntly. You need to go straight back to where you bought them and immediately have them do a return. Tell them their product is deffective and caught on fire!!!!

Are these real or synthetic hair extensions?

yay there fake

Are these real or synthetic hair extensions?

Yes, you got ripped off!!! I tried to do the same with my brother's halloween costume (it had a wig) , so i was so stupid and tried to "straighten" the "hair" with my $200 straightener, and some pieces of the hair got stuck on it!!! And the "hair" just melted on the straightener!!! Anyways, you should go back to where you got them, and demand a refund!!

Are these real or synthetic hair extensions?

there were reall you just sweced em over that's all you might have brunt them from the haet temp being to high

Are these real or synthetic hair extensions?

It sounds like that is definitely synthetic hair. Synthetic hair will burn if heat is applied to them because the are made of fibers that are...well.....synthetic...menaing NOT REAL.

Genuine human hair can have heat applied to it without causing it to burn. However, if the heat was way too high on the hot rollers or curling iron, it IS possible to burn the human hair. It sounds like synthetic hair because why did it produce a smell when you washed them and why did it turn white? My opinion is that it was synthetic hair and when you washed it the dyes started running and that caused the odor and the change in color. I would also advise you that the more you try to "save" this hair the worst it is going to get. You CANNOT revive synthetic hair. Once it is ruined that's it. Try to buy from a reputable place next time and watch what you pay for. Read the instructions carefully too. You can try www.hairinaminute.com they sell human hair and synthetic hair but at least you know what you are buying by the obvious difference in price. Hope all goes well!

Black Boy Straighten Hair Is It Possible And How?

My Brother Wants to Straighten his hair he wants the typical white boy hair is it possible to do if so how

he wants to be able to spike it and style it

Black Boy Straighten Hair Is It Possible And How?

Another stupid question! If he has nappy hair tell him to get a boy perm(yes they do have it) or just a girl perm and a Flat Iron!

To get spikes just use gel.

Black Boy Straighten Hair Is It Possible And How?

Blow dry it, then use a flat iron or hot comb if u have one. Try some straightening serum or cream to avoid frizz and make it easier to work with. Spraying on a heat protectant is very important to prevent breakage, burning, etc. (spray before applying heat). Once is straight then u can spike it up - that wont be hard. Styling it without get (leaving it down) will be harder but a hair product can figure that.

Black Boy Straighten Hair Is It Possible And How?

Well Yes....it is possible........boy hair is just like girl hair treatable with all the same things

im black and i straigten my hair with a straigtner.......(flat iron) And it doesnt have to be expensive either a cheap ( flat iron) will work fine to! Im sure you have heard that expensive stuff work better then cheaper stuff not in this case....They work the same.....But while you are doing the hair......Apply grease or oils to his hair so it wont burn and those oils make the straigtner hotter so it makes the hair straigter......

Good luck on finding the right ANSWER

and i hope the turn our Turns out GREAT!

Black Boy Straighten Hair Is It Possible And How?

for the best results..... tell him to get a perm...

ask someone that knows how to put one in to do it.......or go to the salon......although I must say, it's a lot cheaper to get one at walmart.

after he gets the perm....he might have to get it cut or trimmed like the they do.....in order to get the best results...

after that... there's plenty of spiking gels.....or even just regular gels that can give him a nice "white boy" look.

but don't use too much because gel can really dry out and damage black people's hair.......

moisture is very important.

good luck :)

Dry & Frizzy Hair????

I have a niece and her hair has always been a struggle for her to take care of. It gets so dry and frizzy and tangles very bad, and she is tender headed so it bothers her to brush it a lot. She is mixed and some people tell us she has a white girls hair but then others tell us she has a black girls hair... I really dont know what to do for her, could someone help me out here

Dry %26amp; Frizzy Hair????

the perfect hair needs a recipe and for each person its different.

since it tangles easily its probably thin - like mine so straightening/ curling it could damage the hair. Also, blow drying can dry the hair to the crisp. She needs her hair to be strong before she can do anything like that.

Depending on her hair color try using John Freida's brilliant brunette or Bio Silk shampoo and conditioner.

Before she gets in the shower, try having her brush her hair in parts. If it hurts have her do the best that she can.

After she shampoos, use a wide toothed comb and brush through her hair. Softly so she doesn't break her hair,

Then, squeeze the excess water out of her hair, gently as well. This way when she puts in her conditioner she can soak up most of the conditioner.

While she waits a couple minutes before rinsing the conditioner have her wash her body so she doesn't waste water.

When her hair is still completely soaked and out of the shower, have her use John Frieda's Shine shock and have her leave it in.

Then she can either air dry - which is the best

or blow dry on the coolest temperature setting available. The tips of her hair should be dry with the 'cool' setting to prevent split ends.

Style it perferably down to the side or parted. If she likes her hair straight use a flat brush when blow drying.

After styling hairspray, then add a little bit of shine shock, or Bio Silk Cure Soyeuse Silk Therapy.

The Chi brand of straighteners work really well and usually add a bit of shine to your hair. Yet they usually cost $100 -$120.

I read this on another question it looks so you can use it -

By SisterAlice: wash and rince in cold water. really it closes the pores so you dont get the oils that make it flat. only use conditioner on the ends or that makes it blah. towel dry as much as you can. then put some root lift just on the roots at the part of your hair then with your head up side down either slightly blow dry in warm and cool or end with cool to keep the pores closed or instead of the hair dryer if you have time just keep running your fingers through it as your sitting lifting up as you do this. my daughtar has long waist legth silky blonde hair and when she dont want to take the time ( 20 min.) to do this she ends up with it in a pony tail too. if you use the cold water to wash and rince and do the finger thing you can do it the night before and still have fluff. or in the morning take a large curling iron and put it to the roots give it a one in a half twist back and pulling lightly forward and instant poof... just remember the more conditionor and the more you pull down is what your gonna get...

Hope this helps!

Dry %26amp; Frizzy Hair????

or a gentle relaxer.

Dry %26amp; Frizzy Hair????

Dry %26amp; Frizzy Hair????

Dry %26amp; Frizzy Hair????

After shampooing and rinsing, apply a hydrating conditioner. Brush hair in the shower with the conditioner in. Leave conditioner in for a couple of minutes before rinsing. Afterwards, towel-dry until damp. Apply a small amount of Biosilk- it is great and makes hair soft and shiny.

Dry %26amp; Frizzy Hair????

I have incredibly dry, brittle hair myself -- to the point it would literal break off if I brushed it.. Its also very fine, so any kind of deep conditioning made it incredibly greasy. After experimenting with my stylist, I started using Biolage Clarifying Shampoo, and Biolage Hydrating balm right after. After getting out of the shower, I use Biolage Thermal Heat Setting Spray instead of hairspray. You put it on while your hair is wet, and it helps to set your hair without the crunchy-ness or damage of hairspray. At night I use a leave-in conditioner (also Biolage) and braid my hair with a silk ribbon (so a twisty doesn't damage my hair). I also use a silk pillowcase to prevent breakage, as well as an old t-shirt instead of a towel to squeeze the excess water out of my hair after a shower.

Any of these tips or products should really help the condition of your niece's hair. I feel for her!!

Dry %26amp; Frizzy Hair????

it doesnt matter what people say about what kind of hair it is, the problem is not being remedied by stating that. so ignore what they are saying unless they are give productive advice. relaxers are the easy way out, my hair is natural and is healthy. chemicals damage the hair. having dry and frizzy hair are signs of damage and putting chemicals in the hair at this state would not be wise. deep conditioning and hot oil treatments everytime she shampoos are the best and first ideas to try. and since she is tender-headed make sure you seperate the hair in sections when combing or brushing (root to ends). it is not a major issue of being mixed but since you mentioned it i have experience with styling hair of this description on a mixed girl's head and have done these same things on her hair and it is more manageable and healthier looking. Not mention a using a decent brand of de-frizzer. DO NOT use gel. it makes the hair dryer. hair maintenance on hair of any age is necessary so take the time, you or whoever is going to be applying this advice, to take care of her hair.

Dry %26amp; Frizzy Hair????

Move to Portland Ore! it worked for my daughter!

actually I know that sounds far fetched.If you can't do that;

Herble essence works (For dry hair) conditioner stays in 2 minutes COMB with a large toothed comb.

Once a day. Stay away from little pony-tails cuz it will break dry hair badly!! I bet she is so cute tho!!lol

Dry %26amp; Frizzy Hair????

The absolute best is a product called Silk Drops from FX Special Effects. You can get it at any Walgreens, CVS, etc. You'll love it!

Girls: How do you feel about graying hair on black on a man at age 28?

I actually have been graying since I was 15 because of emotional stress, and I hate dye, I think dyeing is for the insecure and superficial. On the other hand, I don't get as many looks from women like I used to - I dunno if it's the hair, you tell me!

It's almost totally gray on the sides, and a few strands in between my thick black hair on top. They're totally white stress hairs and contrast rather obviously with my dark black straight hair.

Girls: How do you feel about graying hair on black on a man at age 28?

I find graying men very attractive.. even on younger guys. ;) Many of my guy clients ask about dying their gray hair. I try my best to turn them away from dying.. because as a guy you normally keep your hair short.. right? well you'd be dying your hair after every hair cut. Hope I helped.

Girls: How do you feel about graying hair on black on a man at age 28?

It is the hair. I won't give a man a second look if his hair is gray. I don't want to date someone that is old looking.

Girls: How do you feel about graying hair on black on a man at age 28?

Ohhh, I think it's hot! ;) Don't get me wrong - I don't like old men with gray hair, but when younger men get gray hair I find it very attractive ;) So don't worry ;) I guess I'm not the only girl who thinks that way ;)) Good luck and stop worrying - you'll get more grays! Or... Go ahead and worry - you won't look worse anyway ;)p

Girls: How do you feel about graying hair on black on a man at age 28?

Well as long as it is not TOTALLY gray I'm fine with it although you seem like you have a lot if its completely gray on both sides but if you want to get more looks from women i would suggest dying it also. I have a brother who is 28 also and his hair is black with some gray hairs.

Goodluck!

Girls: How do you feel about graying hair on black on a man at age 28?

all the men in my family go white by 25. Its just in our genes %26amp; it doesnt bother them. Steve Martin has been gray then to white since his early 20s and im only 18 but hes my favorite actor. The hair suited him and still looked good. Just be confident in it. I think its cool how you feel about dying your hair and u should stick to that. Some girls probably wont like it but the ones that fall in love with your personality wont care. Rock that graying hair! :]

Girls: How do you feel about graying hair on black on a man at age 28?

why are you so stressed??? that's the source of the whole problem. work on some ways to relieve your stress.

i think it really depends. i understand why you would hate dying your hair, i feel the same way, but if you ARE insecure, than you should go for it. honestly, though, it shouldnt matter what color your hair is.

Girls: How do you feel about graying hair on black on a man at age 28?

thats hott

Girls: How do you feel about graying hair on black on a man at age 28?

I'm sorry hon but at the tender age of 28 that much to soon for anybody to be Grey even for a man. You shouldn't feel insecure about using products such as" just for men " women do it all the time! trust me.

Girls: How do you feel about graying hair on black on a man at age 28?

i think it's elegant. my uncle had all silver hair by the time he was thirty (stress from law school). it didn't deter from his looks, he actually looked a lot more polished and elegant. lol now when i think of silver/white hair i think of (sexy) Anderson Cooper and my uncle.

Girls: How do you feel about graying hair on black on a man at age 28?

On most men grey hair looks sexy and makes people look sophisticated. I'd rather a guy have natural hair than dyed anyway, so keep it as it is. Especailly people who have black hair, grey really looks nice so don't try and cover it up. The white may contrast but don't worry about it too much!

Girls: How do you feel about graying hair on black on a man at age 28?

Grey hair can be sexy, regardless of race! Think of George Clooney, Richard Gere!

Girls: How do you feel about graying hair on black on a man at age 28?

i don't know cause i did not gray my hairs

Girls: How do you feel about graying hair on black on a man at age 28?

Grey hair on men is sexy. What isnt sexy is a man who dyes his hair - gross. We have a t.v presenter in england called Phillp Schofield and although still young he is grey all over and looks fab,. He dyed it once and was given such a hard time. The women who will be looking at you now are of an age where they wont be so ovbious and giggly about it - so I bet they are looking but being discrete. Forget the hair, concentrate on how you project yourself - women love confidence in a man. Go for it boy!!!

Which type of salon should i go to for hair extentions, i'm mixed?

Okay, so i'm mixed with black %26amp; white, %26amp; my hair isn't like black peoples but it isn't like white. It's basically mixed hair.

My hair is down to my armpit %26amp; i want to get extentions.

Should i go to a african american salon or a more white salon?

It's going to be with my own money %26amp; i have a part time job, so a black salon would be cheaper.

any help?

Which type of salon should i go to for hair extentions, i'm mixed?

Perhaps make an apporint with the salaon you perfer and see what they think? They should know if they can handle you hair type.

Which type of salon should i go to for hair extentions, i'm mixed?

i think your type of hair can be styled in a black salon. Black cosmotolgists are more versed in dealing with many, many types and textures of hair. Because black hair is very diverse.

Which type of salon should i go to for hair extentions, i'm mixed?

Idk, any will do 4 u, black cheaper? go to the shop then =))

Which type of salon should i go to for hair extentions, i'm mixed?

Extensions can either look great or you can look like Britney at the VMA's. Go to a saloon with a good rep. Extensions are expensive any way... so dont worry about trying to save like $20 for a cheaper place... make your self look good girl...lol

Dyeing blonde hair black ??

Okay, I asked a similar question a while ago. I have NATURAL WHITE BLONDE HAIR, it is NOT bleached. Rare, I know. I have always stayed the same, and I am now planning to dye it black. I'm going for something totally different, and please don't suggest brown OR tell me it's a bad idea. I have made up my mind. I would just like some tips from hair dressers :] Pros, cons ?

Dyeing blonde hair black ??

Ok, I am not a pro, but I can tell you that I dyed my hair black and it is a natural white blonde.... I did this when I was 16.. And I will NEVER do it again..... The best advice although you don't want to hear it, is start with a dk. blonde to med. brown color..... somewhere in between that... because I can tell you, that Black will be very shocking, and it looked like crap!!!! It almost ruined my hair, and I can also tell you that it is the biggest pain in the *** to try and fix... it took me 3 cycles of bleaching to get it all out of my hair, and bleaching is the only way to get rid of that dark of a color... Definately start with a brown color, and work your way darker..... You won't regret it!!!!

Dyeing blonde hair black ??

Before you take this drastic measure, why don't you get yourself a can of black hair spray. See what you think of it. Get the reaction from your friends and family. Wear it for awhile, and if the comments or your ideas are not what you expected then you can wash it out. No harm, no foul. So to speak.

Dyeing blonde hair black ??

black is ok

Dyeing blonde hair black ??

i'm a teenager and told my mom i want red streaks in my hair. well my hair stylist said that if I streak it, it 's going have to be bleached and if you do that then your hair might fall out she told me that. but i don't know I don't think u need your hair bleach, but if you do ask the stylist what's the risk and for me I have to pay 60 dollars when new growth (hair) comes in so I didn't put them in my head I just wear sew in tracks much easier and you get to keep ur nautral hair and color and pay $120, but it lasted for 2 1/2 months so I think that's good.

Dyeing blonde hair black ??

Well sorry to say this but your skin color is all wrong for black hair. The only black hair that looks good is natural. You can tell dyed blk hair a mile away it looks horrible usally looks trashy. I am a natural blonde and i would never do that to my hair.

Dyeing blonde hair black ??

I am a licensed cosmetologist....you will get a totally different look by dying your hair black. However....should you not like it....you are in a world of you know what. Color correction is extremely expensive and time consuming, and your hair will never be the same......EVER!!!!!!. What I would suggest to you in to put in some low lights to give your hair some dimension.

When the stylist begins to strip the color out if you are dissatisfied you are going to be utterly scared to death, because all you will see is orange....you will more than likely never see your natural color again. My step daughter was naturally blonde, and she dyed hers a beautiful red...however...she could never go back to her natural color, she bleached it several times, and has now ended up a nice brown with highlights. She absolutely hates that she ever colored it. plus stripping the color out really damages your hair. If you would wait a few years, you will find that your pretty blonde hair will naturally get darker the older you get....why you may ask.....it gets darker so that it can turn grey, and other can see it really good and everyone can point it out....lol. But honestly, I do hope you will change your mind and go for low lights...it is easier to let them grow out than it will be to let black grow out....then you will look like a skunk.....PLEASE DO LOW LIGHTS.

Dyeing blonde hair black ??

I would definently go for a dark brown if I were you. Light skinned white people never have naturally black hair, so it would look completely out of place. And also, it becomes more of a gray than a black if you have light hair. And what about your eyebrows?! I assume you have very light eyebrows that would clash with the black hair. Just some things to keep in mind...

Dyeing blonde hair black ??

I don't know if you know but dying your hair black is a very bad idea specially if you are blond. Why? because you will look twice your age,it washes off really fast and it makes your roots look bad,and most of all it won't be easy to go back to your natural color. because you will actually have to bleach it first and that my dear will damage your hair. But hey go for it if you have made up your mind.

Dyeing blonde hair black ??

you could dye your hair black...but it will be difficult for it to return to the rare natural white blonde color...you should get it done by a professional...

Dyeing blonde hair black ??

The problem with black is that when you do want to return blonde it's pretty much not gonna happen without damaging you hair i have natural blonde hair and I dyed it black and my hair was horrible for a long time cause when i wanted it back to blonde it was the hardest thing to do i either had to cut it or wait it out so i used color strippers and then finally got it back years later but i don't recommend it and i know that you don't want someone telling you not to do it so I'm just telling you my experience with it and it makes you look totally pale, unless your really tan. But dyeing your hair from blonde to black is really easy to do but make sure you buy two boxes if your hair is on the long side. And my hair did look good for a while until i wanted my blonde back so if your totally convinced to do it then good luck.

Straight or curly? im black and white?

I'm mixed with black and white. My hair is frizzy and its naturally wavy/curly. I normally braid it at night and comb the curls out in the morning and i'm left with a puffy mess. My mom doesnt let me (or herself) straighten it exept for special occations. Should I go with my curly roots? Its reeeally easy to make my hair curly, but Its soooooooooo thick and frizzy and my sister just said "Marlana, curly is waaay to hard to handle, trust me. Just go straight."

Buuut, I have split ends annnd like i said I cant straighten my hair w/o my mom finding out and I get tons of creases in my hair.

So what should I do? remeber I'm black AND white. Not all black, not all white. Take note!

Straight or curly? im black and white?

where your hair natural...use a curl defining line line john freida or herbal essences...to reduce frizz...what i do is is apply curl condioning creme (from garnier) nad then apply a good hair gel(max hold or scrunching gel by herbal essence). do not ouch it at all! the curls will be defined and not frizzy..but not crunchy b/c of the condioning creme...

i straiten my hair but it takes soooo long and it just ends up frizzy anyway b/c i live in miami...so curly is the best way to go..GL!

-chai

Straight or curly? im black and white?

Hi i'm mixed too.My hair is curly/wavy/coily and the best moisterizing conditioner I ever use is aubrey organics honeysuckle conditioner and i love their shampoos for dry hair you can find it at a health store and they can also order it for you.Honeyfig.com has great natural products. Report It

Straight or curly? im black and white?

the garnier line works well, i use the curl and shine stuff...i like it... Report It

Straight or curly? im black and white?

I was in the same situation as you but in the end I got my hair chemically "de-frizzed". It keeps your hair thick and healthy and doesn't damage it at all, it also gives you perfect curls so you wouldnt need to worry about taming it.

Hope I helped!

Straight or curly? im black and white?

its your hair, is it not,

your mom telling you not to straighten your hair is like telling her she cant wear what she wants to wear.

shes being totally ridiculous about it.

But in my personal opinion you shoud first get your ends trimmed.

And commit to no specific hairstyle.

If you want to wear it curly because your in a rush or if you want to straighten it because you like the way it looks , you should have the personal right to fix your hair as you please.

As far as the frizz issue, try Frizz-Ease by John Freida. I use it and it takes all the frizzies out.

Straight or curly? im black and white?

ugh i know how ya feel im black and puerto rican and my hair is wavy/curly/thick/frizzy/tangled!! i striaghten it with a good straightener but try putting leave in conditioner in your hair after you wash it and some mousse maybe

also use a shampoo and conditioner like creme of nature

EDIT: is ur mom black?? if she is, there is probably no way u can get thru to her. but if she is white, maybe u can convince her to let u straighten ur hair.

if all else fails, go to a salon with dominicans and get ur hair done there w. ur own money!

Straight or curly? im black and white?

what's wrong with curly hair? i have natural curly hair and it works for me! stay with the curly it looks kul

Straight or curly? im black and white?

I don't understand.. you're asking if you should make your hair straight or curly.. but your mom wont let you make it straight, so whats the point?

ANYWAY, I would go with straight. You can straightning stuff, idk what its called. Its less than like, 5 or 10 bucks so is not expensive, but what it does is protect your hair so when you straighten it, it wont give you split ends or damage your hair.

Go to sallys, or any hair cutting place, and ask them about it. Or, quick and easy, google it.

Straight or curly? im black and white?

Keep it curly I am sick of all the straight hair its so boring.

Straight or curly? im black and white?

U should just keep it curly wet it . Then damp it with a towel. Next keep it moist with a conditoner. Finally let it air dry or blow dry it. That will make your soft and curly.

What is the best hair-care products available for my bi-racial little girl?

My daughter is bi-racial. Her father is black and I am white. Her hair is really corse and her father's mother puts a perm on her hair every so often to straighten it. It looks to me as if the relaxer is damaging, but it does look better with it. What are the best moisturizing products I can get to put on her hair. Thanks for any help.

What is the best hair-care products available for my bi-racial little girl?

There is a product called Aunt Jesse's curl creme. It's good for hair of different ethnicities. There are salons that carry this prduct but you may have to ask around.

What is the best hair-care products available for my bi-racial little girl?

i never use chemicals on my daughters hair.......try curly Q's products, or just for me

What is the best hair-care products available for my bi-racial little girl?

try using spray-in conditioner

What is the best hair-care products available for my bi-racial little girl?

You should use black hair care products on her hair. Go to a black beauty hair store. Like the store Ebony Beauty Supply.

What is the best hair-care products available for my bi-racial little girl?

You don't say how old your daughter is,if she is really young I wouldn't allow any straightening products on her hair.I would encourage her to keep her hair natural and just use loads of moisturizing stuff to make the most of her natural curl.If she is old enough to say that she wants her hair straightening then take her to a salon and get it done professionally. They will be able to advise her on the best products to maintain her hair.

What is the best hair-care products available for my bi-racial little girl?

i am white and have very coarse hair. i have started using the pantene products that have been put on the market for "women of color". the oil moisturizers in these products seem to help in protecting my hair against all of the heat products that i use to straighten.

i agree with the others, there are lots of products on the market for coarse hair. you should try a beauty supply store. there are tons of them here in georgia and they are reasonably priced.

i would also shy away from the relaxers and perms because it will cause serious damage to young hair and scalps.

What is the best hair-care products available for my bi-racial little girl?

www.naturallycurly.com is the best place to go. Lots of great people with curly hair.

Cosmetology school...hair?

Is it true that i can go to a hair styling school and get it colored and stuff for free? I want white blonde hair so would this be a good idea? If that is true can someone help me find one in or very near Carlisle, Pennsylvania.

Cosmetology school...hair?

i got one word for you FREELOADER!!

Cosmetology school...hair?

yes you can not free you have to pay for the products and services still it is at a discounted rate tho.... you can just look them up and call and do an appnt

Cosmetology school...hair?

First of all I would never ever go to a beauty school for bleaching hair, bleach is a very very strong chemical and these girls can ruin your hair if they aren't trained properly! Next you still usually have to pay but it is much less, unless you know someone (family or friend) who will let you be her guinea pig!

Cosmetology school...hair?

Well, if you go to a beauty school you will get a very good price, but keep in mind these are students, just ask for a senior student and you should be OK. OR you could go to a Regular Salon?Even Beauty Schools charge, Good Luck.

Cosmetology school...hair?

no you cant get it free,,,but its at reduced rates compared to salons....If you hair is short,,,I would take the chance,,otherwise i would go to a professional....to make hair blonde bonde,,you really have to damage it,,,and im sure you dont want it to turn out ORANGE...also I have seen Chemical cuts in school...meaning it chemicallly fries your hair off.

Hair stripping?

after having white blonde hair for years i decided (or was coaxed into) dying my hair brown. ive hated it from day 1 and have just been waiting for the terrible haircut to grow out and the dye to fade (dont go to sanrizz ugh).

i heard i'd have to have my hair stripped to get back to blonde because it was dyed dark brown and they had to put all the red pigments back in. is this true or would i just need pre-lightener? help?

oh and does hair stripping/ pre lightening ruin hair? as mine is damaged enough.

Hair stripping?

If your hair is already pretty damaged, stripping it will DESTROY your hair. It will break all over and you will never be able to comb it while wet or dye it again until it grows out.

The red pigment thing....no that is not true. Brown dye has red pigment and when you strip the color your hair will turn bright orange before it is stripped again and toned to blonde. You never need to put red in while stripping, getting it out is a huge task.

Your best bet would be stripping it in VERY small steps. There are some professional stripping shampoos that take out just a hint of color at a time until you are down to the brassy base, then you get that taken out.

Hair stripping?

just cut it shorttt

Hair stripping?

I went to a hair salon to get just a few dark strips in my hair and the dumb lady turned it black and charged me an arm and a leg. I didn't trust her to go back so I went to a local drug store and bought this stuff called Color Oops. Works wonders!! It will strip all the color out of your hair. it may smell weird but whatever works right? Then you buy a color you like and apply it because it will turn you hair maybe an orange depending on what color it is and was. I freaked out when my hair turned orange but you are supposed to redye right away. but just remember that you hair grabs color quicker. i didnt read that part and left a brown box on for too long and it went back to black. about 5 mins should do the trick. or just strip it and go get it done. this way your not spending 130 bucks for the stripper at a salon. I think i used the stripper 3 times and my hair did not get damaged, although i have alway had good hair.

goood luck! i hope this helps!

Hair stripping?

Well if you had white blonde for years you know what kind of damage it does but i have been fighting to get the white blonde for years and finally about 4 months ago i got it! It is true that when they re dyed it they had to put red pigments back. My hair is light black and i used to try and dye it blonde and then it would turn orange, But now i know that all it needed was a toner so what i would try to do and this is what i do to my hair every month to get the roots caught up: i use Clairol highlighter and put that on the new growth and then when it gets to light orange or yellow i put on lo real Paris los blondissimos(i think that's how you spell it) extra light ash blonde and it removes all the orange and yellow!! I think this will work for yours too even though its been re colored cause my hair is still in good shape and i hardly have any breakage and remember i do those both once a month!!!

EASY 10 points... curly hair?

HEY im 13 and i'm half black/white. My hair is usually in those tight corkscrew curls but i got it chemically relaxed. I really feel like wearing my hair curly/wavy to this upcoming dinner party. My hair doesn't curl with a curling iron. Is there any type of mousse or scrunching product that would work with my type of hair? If so how do i apply it? Thanx!!!

EASY 10 points... curly hair?

for hard curls, i'd suggest gel. any gel will do if you use a lot of it.. flip your hair down when wet and keep scrunching/adding more gel. i wouldn't recommend you doing this often, but the curls will stay put.

if you want curls that you can touch and play with, Pantene Pro-V has this anti-frizzy cream that defines yuor curls.. it's my 3rd time using it and i love it! my hair's still crazy and kinky but at least it's not the messy kind :)

EASY 10 points... curly hair?

I am exactly like u, I use these products and they work wonders.

Sunsilk Defrizz Shampoo and conditioner

Then John Frieda Frizz Ease Hair Serum (use a little)

Then I use sunsilk defrizz 24/7 creme (nickel size)

then I finish with Tresemme Curling milk

I gives me tight curls, and its not all crunchy

EASY 10 points... curly hair?

Well i dont know if it works with a straightening iron but if you get it wet enough it may get a little bit curlier and if gets to culy try straightening the curls but follow the curve so it stays wavy bt not curly!!!

HOPE THIS WORKS!!! GL!!

EASY 10 points... curly hair?

My younger sister is also half black/white and she uses hair mousse and Wet n' Wavy. You can use any brand of mousse but Treseme' works really well. Wet n' Wavy can be found in the black hair care section of some stores. I also heard that curl activator and/or gel works well.

EASY 10 points... curly hair?

Stop using so many chems. Just wash it and apply small rods. Follow with an oil based moisterizer, like Pink. That should work. you can IM me, if thats doesnt work.

EASY 10 points... curly hair?

Go to a local beauty supply store or your hair salon and ask your hair stylist. they should give you the best answer!

PLEASE HELP!! Every time I get my hair done its yellow/orange!!?

I used to bleach my whole head all the time and it always pulled that yellow/orange color. I stopped to keep my hair in better health so NOW I just get highlights... and every time I get bleached highlights my hair still pulls a yellow/orange color, or if it does work the highlights fade within a couple weeks (even though people say thats impossible because its bleach ..well it really does) it just disappears in my hair like I never got anything done ...my hair stylists was shocked. and I have been to so many hair stylists and am devastated and disappointed every time. I want the achieve the very blond almost white blond hair color. I have spent so much money on my hair and it all goes down the drain from dissatisfaction. Please help! Any suggestions on what I can get done or need to do? ...and thank you so much!! xoxo

PLEASE HELP!! Every time I get my hair done its yellow/orange!!?

As for the brassy color, you need to get a blue toner to get that white color. However, I don't know what to tell you about the fading. Have you tried using shampoo that helps keep your color longer?

PLEASE HELP!! Every time I get my hair done its yellow/orange!!?

go to sallys beauty and get this stuff by clairol called "shimmer lights". its a purple shampoo or conditioner whichever u choose and u wash it with that like every other time you wash your hair it and takes the yellow orange out and just a pretty blonde and revives faded hair

PLEASE HELP!! Every time I get my hair done its yellow/orange!!?

if you're hair is naturally dark brown or black you may never acheive the white blonde hair you want. good luck.

PLEASE HELP!! Every time I get my hair done its yellow/orange!!?

the more you bleach your hair the whiter it will become

until it gets way too white

you just have to keep doing it often

it pulls yellow orange because your hair is too dark and the bleach is not left on your hair long enough

if your hair is too fragile it could break it off

so you have to find a shade you can life with

just keep working it.. you'll get there

PLEASE HELP!! Every time I get my hair done its yellow/orange!!?

http://i31.tinypic.com/2i0xa3d.jpg

PLEASE HELP!! Every time I get my hair done its yellow/orange!!?

Pulling yellow/orange is not uncommon. Its the stages hair has to go through to get to the desired color and sometimes hair that is stubborn will stop processing in that yellow/organge stage. There are a few things you can do like using a stronger developer and possibly leaving it on longer under the dryer with a cap. This would be at the watchful eye of a professional in order to keep the integrity of your hair in mind while processing and knowing exactly when you have either reached the desired level or enough is enough for your hair. In the end it is recommended to use a glaze to close the cuticle of your hair and seal in any color deposited or used so that it will last longer. If the right formula is chosen the glaze can also help tone the unwanted casts like yellow/orange. Wish you were in Warner Robins GA. I would love the opportunity to help you feel great about your hair.

Alright; so i'm a young girl, going into highschool %26amp; i have kinda thick BUT white/blonde hair on my arms.. I'm just wondering if this hair is here to stay, or will it eventually fall off or what?

my mom says that with time the hair will slowly become less and less of a problem because there wont be as much in the future.

Is this true?? Or will I be stuck with this problem :)

Thanks!!!!

I have shoulder length hair its kinda thick. What should i do with it for our Formal? HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!?

I saw a girl in the salon that has really thick hair, and the lady put it half up with the front real poofy and she had little flowers in the back were her pony tail is. she was getting ready for her wedding, it was simple and elegant.

I have shoulder length hair its kinda thick. What should i do with it for our Formal? HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!?

I would put it all up except for your bangs and have it curled in a nice updo. Thick hair looks awesome that way.....a friend of mine has hair like yours and hers looks so pretty when done like that! Good luck and have fun!:-)

I have shoulder length hair its kinda thick. What should i do with it for our Formal? HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!?

I have shoulder length hair its kinda thick. What should i do with it for our Formal? HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!?

i think these days less is more so you should get it curled, put it in a half ponytail and then have your bangs however you usually wear them. i think twisties and any add on accessories may look tacky.

I have shoulder length hair its kinda thick. What should i do with it for our Formal? HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!?

These are my choices for Best product for Mixed Race Hair...?

I started this thread because there is not a lot of info out there...

My racial background is 1/2 Black, 1/2 White, so hair can be unruly. I do straighten my hair with Olive Oil Organic Root Relaxer, this has worked the best for me...least breakage. My hair a little is past shoulder length...

-Pantene Pro-V Relaxed %26amp; Natural for Women of Color-Excellent Suff! If they ever discontinue it, I will freak out....this is the best Conditioner %26amp; Shampoo I have ever tried, and I have tried a lot. I do not have to add anything to my hair when I use this...

-MixedChicks.com has nice products too

-A dab of Almond Oil worked through hair before blow drying straight, or using large barrel curling iron to add bounce and definition. This can be from the Natural Food Store or someplace like Henry's or Wild Oats

-Frederic Fekkai Technician Conditioner For Dry, Damaged, Color-Treated Hair

I do highlight my hair dark blonde on occasion, no real breakage

Add your favorites! :)

Facial hair on girls.?

I'm a teenage girl with facial hair and it gets really embarassing! It's not really thick but i know for a fact people can tell if they're close to me. I take after my dad (whos pretty darn hairy!) I cant stand it my mom let me bleach it but she wont let me wax it (but it just ends up looking like white facial hair than dark) becuase she thinks it will evolve into a full blow beard/stash. I told her she was being silly as long as i kept waxing it when needed. How can i let my mom know that wont happen? or will it? What is the most efective and long lasting hair remover?

Facial hair on girls.?

If your mum won't let you wax it or use electrolosis, try using Jolen. It is an applicator with cream that you mix together, and leave on your 'facial hair' for 5-10 minutes. It really works! Hope this helps

Facial hair on girls.?

You should try waxing yourself its easy...My daughter had the same problem and I couldn't use nair cuz it was too harsh on her young skin..so I tried waxing and even though it hurt for a few seconds it was great ,,I started using it myself than. It really was not a big deal and the hair grew in less thick every time...

maybe your mom thinks you're too young but she has to notice and she doesn't want to make you feel uncomfortable so she doesn't do anything..talk to her if she doesn't agree go for it anyway

Facial hair on girls.?

it wont...actually the more you wax the more the hair will thin out and wont show up as much...

Facial hair on girls.?

well let me tell you sister it will ony get worse...with sex, pregnancy, ect...i recommend waxing or threading

Facial hair on girls.?

No, that won't happen.

if she won't let you wax, why don't you pluck? It will take longer, but it's very effective.

Facial hair on girls.?

LASER HAIR REMOVAL! but yeah, you're probably too young for that lol. I'm really sorry but waxing seems to be the only way; DON'T shave because then it'll be stubby when it grows out. Try convincing her in some way of getting you to wax it or get it waxed by yourself she wouldn't notice.

Facial hair on girls.?

your mom is right....waxing may cause your facial hair to grow back darker and coarser....honestly i hate to say your best bet is laser removal....it's costly but worth it...in the meantime, there are some decent creams you can get...talk with an anesthestician at your beauty salon and maybe they could recommend one for you...good luck :-)

Facial hair on girls.?

i used to do electroisis or something on my face, basically lazer hair removal as they say.

they shaved the area and then used a lazer.

the hair took about 2 month to grow back but i had to keep doing it.

now i thread it, chances are, theres a salon near you were they wax/thread.

try it.

its effective, although painful. but no pain no gain.

Facial hair on girls.?

wax it ur self. ask her fist, and if she says no, do it anyway because its ur face and u dont like the hair

Facial hair on girls.?

She might be right - very possible. The most effective and long-lasting rx is electrolysis. Another permanent solution is laser hair removal. Good luck.

Facial hair on girls.?

i would say get permanent hair removal. if you wax it theres a chance youll be in a situation for some reason where you cant wax it then it would be all hairy. bleaching looks funny on some people it makes it look like they have a white mustache instead of a black one.

Facial hair on girls.?

What's wring with bleach, and why is your mom doing it for you? There is a special Nair just for female facial hair. Try it, and yes, if you wax it it will grow back thick and dark.

Facial hair on girls.?

your mom should know that its totally normal to wax your lip. Let her know it is kind of embarrassing to you and you will be more confident. If you wax every once in awhile, it wont grow back to a mustache!! you ll be fine, why do you think they invented lip wax??? not to make your lip worse.lol. print this out and show it to her if you need some convincing, its just your lip hair your waxing, its not a big deal, especially if it makes you more confident.

Facial hair on girls.?

You can explain to your parents just how uncomfortable it makes you feel and that is dragging down your self-esteem. There are some medical conditions that can cause excessive hair growth, so maybe you can ask them

to take you for a checkup. Tell your doctor that you are concerned about it and ask if there is anything you should try. There is a new cream called Vaniqa, which your doctor can prescribe, and it prevents hair growth.

Facial hair on girls.?

I totally feel your pain! I started getting facial hair when I was 15, and immediately started waxing, and using Nair. I also take after my father who is arabian, and very hairy! To make matters worse, it's jet black hair! So anyhoo, if bleaching makes it less noticable, go with that for now because as soon as you start waxing, you are going to have to keep it up permanently. I have to wax/nair every 2 days to keep it in check. When I first started, it was only once every 2 to 3 weeks! The most effective way to permanently remove hair is electrolosis. Very expensive, but as I said very effective. A doctor or dermatologist will basically shock the root, which kills it, and the hair cannot grow back. Some insurances will cover it. Anyways, do what keeps you feeling great and less self-consious, and whatever you do....DON'T SHAVE IT!!!

Facial hair on girls.?

it doesnt make it worse...but i always thought i was just hairy because i took after my dad..and just wrote it off..untill i couldnt stand it anymore went to the doctors and it turns out i have polycystic ovary syndrome ....it could be a sign of something more serious...you should look into it....or you could just be naturally hairy...but if it gets worse with age...its def something more serious...good luck

Facial hair on girls.?

when i get crazy upper lip hair, then i shave it

Facial hair on girls.?

try waxing but if i were you i would do it prfecinally when u do it yourself eveyrthing wil proabbaly get red and gat bumps

good luk

:)

I am a white girl in NJ looking to get a weave, i saw great hair...?

where can i get a weave done in nj w/o people telling me they cant do my hair? i just found some beauyiful hair on hairsisters.com and want it put in any advice

I am a white girl in NJ looking to get a weave, i saw great hair...?

Girl you can get a weave. Dont go to a typical black salon, go to an African braiding salon. They will hook you up!! It might take longer with your hair because your hair is finer than African-American hair. They might have to pull tighter since your hair is silky where as our hair is more kinky in texture and it holds to other hair better.

I understand you when people probally say that they cant do your hair, but most people should talk to you and figure out what look your trying to attain and work with you on what they can do.

If you just want longer hair without all the braiding and sewing, you can try extensions that most white girls get. Its more simpler less stressful than our technique.

Dont let them intimidate you, keep trying!

I am a white girl in NJ looking to get a weave, i saw great hair...?

they can do exstentions on white people but not weaves
